Assassin's Creed: Origins
Assassin's Creed: Origins
Hello, I've be playing this game since Christmas actually and I just wanted to give some reasons as to why I love it, and maybe why you might be interested in it. Also I should probably mention i'm not sponsored by them or anything like that, this is just my opinion of the game.
1. Visually Stunning
Like many games nowadays the graphics are probably the best of 2017. But unlike other games it captures what ancient Egypt looked like which I have never seen done before. I mean just look at this ancient Egyptian city Ubisoft has been able to create. The details on the buildings, fauna, flora and the water, oh the water is beautiful even swimming is a sight you want to look at for a while.

To me Assassin's Creed: Origins felt like a reboot to the franchise after Syndicate and whatever happened with that. I didn't even play it, from watching YouTubers play through the game I didn't like it. It definitely still has aspects which tell you its Assassin's Creed and there's a lot more lore to dive into. I can only hope that the next game carries on some of these changes and doesn't revert back to some bad habits like 100% synchronisation missions which told you how to play the game, which have been removed by the way. So those are some reasons why I love Origins and continue to play it until the next.
2. Story
In my opinion the story of Origins is the best in the whole series, and I loved Black Flag. It was amazing to see the things Bayek had to go through and taking that journey with him was a pleasure. This may be a bit of a spoiler but if you hadn't guessed from the title of the game, this is the origins of the brotherhood and finding out how the assassins code was formed and even where there symbol came from was awesome and quite surprising.

3. Fighting Mechanics
So the fighting has completely changed. Which in my opinion wasn't really needed but what they have done with it is still enjoyable to run round killing all the enemies. In some ways its become harder to kill off loads of enemies at once which depending on your view could be good or bad. To me it just makes it even more satisfying when you kill a whole camp of enemies whether through stealth or running in like a brute. You have to dodge, block or parry attacks to get the upper hand against all kinds of enemies that must be killed using different tactics. I know dodging, blocking and parrying were in previous Assassin's Creed games, but anyone who's played the game will know what I mean.
4. Has Become a RPG
So now they have introduced upgrading individual gear pieces by collecting materials from animals, breaking down loot or stealing them from guards. Which is a great change, it feels like its more of a challenge to get Bayek fully upgraded and become a Master Assassin. We saw some of this in Unity however in my opinion it was done a lot better in Origins than Unity. There's still the aspect of customising your assassin with outfits to make him more unique as well.
5. Ability Tree
Getting abilities has also been changed. Now the abilities are spread out into a tree with 3 routes you can take "Hunter", "Warrior" and "Seer". Eventually you will be able to unlock all the abilities of course but as you level up, yes you have a level now 1-40 with the base game and 40-45 and then 45-55 with the DLC's, you can pick which skills you specialise first which in turn can change how you play through the game in order to complete missions. This is a great change to the franchise.
